Ammaar was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in November 2016. His family have set up Ammaar's Transformers Appeal to raise funds for neuroblastoma research. Here, his family tells us all about Ammaar...
Ammaar loves cars - anything to do with cars makes him happy. Even when teaching him at home he is quite happy to learn if we use cars as a metaphor! His favourite TV programmes are Transformers and Hot Wheels. He used to love swimming but unfortunately, that's been put on hold due to his Hickman line. He also misses taekwondo. Since his diagnosis, most of all I think he misses the social aspect of being with his friends. He is a huge fan of transformers and so we let him choose the name of the fund!
He's always been full of energy and joy, and is very kind-hearted, thinking about others before himself, even at the tender age of 4.
He loves role play and participated in short skits in school and preschool and was also one of the narrators in the Gruffalo play at his preschool graduation party.
Ammaar is now in remission after completing his treatment.
